PROBLEM

The Hardware store is a retail hardware outlet, dealing with an extensive cross section of clients including developers, businesses and tradesmen and the general public. Their website hasn’t been updated in a couple of years. A revamp required to grow the expanding user market to online customers whilst maintaining the existing locals and instore customers.

APPROACH

By understanding the current website content, provided personas and conducting a card sorting activity, we identified the painpoints, needs and behaviours of our users. In addition best practices for ecommerce store are established and kept top of mind upon designing lo to high fidelity prototypes. These prototypes are tested and iterated vigously to perfect the solution offering.

SOLUTION

The solution recommended is a revamp of their website structure with the additional component of ecommerce store. Both business and user needs has been addressed by data driven site navigation, call to action triggers catered to distinctive types of users, instore promotional offerings encourages continual instore visits, an easy, efficient and trustworthy checkout process.
